Cycle for Safe Water 2019
The dates are now confirmed! The 2019 Cycle for Safe Water Challenge will take place from 17th - 27th October 2019. Six days cycling, 400km, countless memories.
A unique journey on two wheels
Head off the beaten track and discover FRANK Water’s India. Discover some of the country’s most beautiful and least visited regions, see firsthand how clean drinking water changes people’s lives, raise money to help FRANK Water reach more of India’s most marginalised communities….and do it all on two wheels!
This unique challenge involves six days of cycling, covering around 400km in total. No two days are the same. You’ll ride across mountaintops and along valley bottoms, power up coastal climbs and relax through flat inland stretches. It’ll be challenging but achievable with a bit of advance preparation and plenty of support, friendship and camaraderie along the way.
Meet the people FRANK supports.
It’s not all pedal power – you’ll spend time off the bike too, visiting the villages and spending time with the people that FRANK Water supports. There’s a chance to cook and eat with local families, try your hand at local arts and crafts and in one of the villages, you'll have the opportunity to walk the distance that women and girls would travel at least twice daily before the water supply was installed in their village.
