Aster Muro Fresco Collaboration

Aster Muro has collaborated with Frank Water and their long-standing partner Arup to create 6 limited-edition contemporary abstract maquettes.  The theme of these artworks is confetti – to embody their shared aspirations: unity, flow, cycle – and joy.  Confetti represents a sense of many people joining together, drifts of water droplets as well as a celebration of the 8-year partnership between Frank Water and Arup..

Charles Snell from Aster Muro was introduced to Arup by Frank Water and subsequently commissioned by Arup to create two large-scale frescoes for their new office wall in Bristol.  They were designed as a pair to emanate a sense of warmth with areas of pink and yellow, contrasting with cooler, mistier sections in cream and blue, designed to convey the idea of water.

As part of the frescoes development process, Aster Muro created the 6 maquettes and each limited edition original piece produced on plaster is available to buy.  They measure 60 x 40 cm and a donation of £2,000 in support of our work, can be made via our website donation page to secure your favourite piece.
