At just three years old, Moksha Roy became the world’s youngest sustainability advocate, volunteering for a microplastic pollution campaign supported by the UN and the Archbishop of Canterbury. Today, she’s one of the most celebrated youth voices in global sustainability and a proud Ambassador for Frank Water.
Moksha has spent most of her young life calling on governments, businesses, and communities to #ACTNOW for people and planet. Her solution-focused activism empowers children globally to take action and overcome climate anxiety. She’s spoken at COP summits, engaged with major global brands, and her campaigns have been featured in over 400 media outlets, reaching more than 200 million people.
At just five, Moksha wrote nearly 200 letters to world leaders urging them to incorporate the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into school curricula. Her advocacy helped change policy in the UK, impacting more than 16 million children and earning her accolades, including the UK Prime Minister’s Points of Light Award and the British Citizen Youth Award.
Moksha’s voice continues:
– At COP27, her video message to world leaders challenged them to be “truly really super selfish” in protecting our planet.
– At COP28, she urged the Global North to speed up the fossil fuel transition to protect children’s rights being eroded by climate change.
– She’s helping UK schools join UNICEF UK’s Rights Respecting Schools programme, educating children about their rights and responsibilities.
Her influence across sectors is powerful – from lobbying major companies like LEGO, Microsoft, and Primark for more sustainable practices, to launching creative campaigns like saving books from landfills or asking for charity donations instead of birthday gifts.
Moksha’s advocacy has even been referenced in India’s prestigious civil service exams, inspiring a new generation of sustainability leaders.
We’re honoured to have Moksha Roy as a Frank Water Ambassador, standing with us in our mission to protect water for people, nature, and the planet. Her bold and inspiring leadership is proof that no one is too young or too small to make a global impact.
