Tom Freyberg joins Frank Water as our new Ambassador

Frank Water is delighted to announce our new Ambassador, Tom Freyberg, Founder and Managing Director of Atlantean Media. Tom is an award-winning environmental journalist, he’s had articles and comments published in The Times, The Guardian, CNN, the Grocer magazine, and a Swedish institute publication, WaterFront. Spending nearly a decade traveling the globe and reporting on projects from Latin America to the Middle East and Southeast Asia, opened his eyes to the water challenges and solutions available around the world.

Tom founded Atlantean Media out of a need to bring engineering-based content to life and now represents and advises public and private-sector clients across the water and climate-tech space. The mission is to connect people to water through creative content. Tom is also the co-creator and co-host of The Stream with Will and Tom podcast together with Will Sarni.

Tom Freyberg said: “I’m honoured to become an ambassador at Frank Water to help Katie and the team spread the word. The charity does some incredible work helping to create a future where the world’s water sources are protected from the climate crisis. As a creative communicator in the water space, I believe we need to inspire younger generations to see the value in water, why it’s an incredible area to work in, and also the challenges ahead. I highly recommend Catherine Barr’s book – ‘Water: Protect Freshwater to Save Life on Earth’ for schools to help educate children on water beyond the traditional hydrological cycle.”

Katie Alcott, Frank Water CEO said: “”I’m absolutely thrilled to welcome Tom as an Ambassador of Frank Water. Not only are we gaining an incredible advocate for our work, but also his resonant voice in the broader fight for global water security. His support will amplify our message and mission, bringing greater awareness and urgency to the cause, as we work tirelessly to increase the value of water and ensure access to safe and clean water for those who need it most.”
