Frank Water works with mountain communities in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, India and Kavrepalanchok, Nepal, to restore vital natural springs.
In these areas, springs provide up to 90 percent of daily water needs, but many are drying up due to deforestation, development and extreme weather events.
Living on the frontlines of the climate crisis, these communities are seeing their water sources disappear, threatening lives, livelihoods, and local ecosystems.
Using nature-based solutions, we help communities revive their springs, digging trenches, planting native trees and grasses, and restoring groundwater recharge. This ensures clean, safe water close to home.
Reliable spring water means women and girls no longer walk hours to collect water, they can go to school, grow food, and earn a living.
We provide tools and training so communities can manage their springs long-term and build climate resilience.
