Frank Water welcomes a new Trustee from Arup

Leading water charity, Frank Water has announced the appointment of a new Trustee to support the charity’s work to alleviate global water poverty.

Following an extensive recruitment process, one trustee joined the Board in May from their strategic partner Arup, and two others will follow later this year, all bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the organisation.

Paula Morcillo De Amuedo is a Senior WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) Consultant at sustainable development and engineering firm Arup. Working across a multitude of global urban projects and with previous experience in the not-for-profit sector, she is committed to mainstreaming gender, equality, and social inclusion in WASH programmes.

As the global water crisis deepens across the World, this appointment comes as Frank Water steps up its mission to reach more people experiencing water scarcity and ensure they have enough, long-term access to clean, safe water, and their programmes continue to expand across India, Nepal, and Kenya.

Paula Morcillo De Amuedo said: “My appointment to Frank Water’s Trustee Board is both a huge honour and exciting opportunity to help shape the future of such an innovative and global organisation. Reflecting much of my career to date, Frank Water is committed to supporting the most vulnerable communities with water security, creating equitable solutions adapted to local contexts. The impact of climate change now needs to be our focus and I look forward to leveraging my sustainability experience to help Frank Water continue to deliver resilient and inclusive projects.”

Katie Alcott MBE, Frank Water CEO said: “It’s a huge pleasure to welcome Paula to our Board of Trustees.  She brings a wealth of WASH experience that will help us to deliver our ambitious strategic plan to improve global water security.”

Anoo Jain, Chair of Frank Water, said:  “I’m delighted to be welcoming Paula to Frank Water Board of Trustees.  We are fortunate to have added a new Trustee to our Board who will bring a breadth of experience, knowledge, and expertise to help us on our mission to alleviate global water poverty.”
