Moksha Roy is Frank Water’s Young Ambassador and the world’s youngest sustainability advocate, having started her journey at just three years old.
Since then, Moksha has become one of the most inspiring young voices in the global movement for sustainability. She has spoken at major events like the UN Climate Conferences (COPs), led campaigns that have changed national policy, and reached more than 200 million people worldwide through the media.
At the age of five, Moksha wrote over 190 letters to world leaders, successfully encouraging them to include the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in school curricula. Her campaign led to a policy change in the UK that now helps more than 16 million children learn about sustainability in school.
Moksha has received numerous awards for her work, including the UK Prime Minister’s Points of Light Award and the British Citizen Youth Award. She’s a UN youth ambassador for Water Week UK, and likely the youngest member of the UN climate change youth group, YOUNGO.
Her work focuses on making sustainability easy to understand and act on, especially for children. She helps young people tackle climate anxiety through campaigns that are full of creativity, courage and hope. From conserving water to saving books from landfills, Moksha’s projects always involve real action. She’s even given up birthday gifts to raise money for causes she cares about.
Moksha’s message has reached global businesses like Tesco, Disney, Microsoft, LEGO, Sky, and Netflix, where she continues to encourage faster, fairer, and more transparent sustainability efforts. Her message at COP28 called for urgent action from world leaders, especially from the Global North, to protect children’s rights by addressing climate change more seriously.
At Frank Water, we’re incredibly proud to have Moksha as our Young Ambassador. Her passion, commitment, and clarity show that age is no barrier to leadership — and that even the smallest voices can create lasting change for people and the planet.
