We’re proud to share Frank Water’s 2023-24 Impact Report, a celebration of what we’ve achieved together over the past year. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, partners, and volunteers, we’ve reached more people, restored more water sources, and inspired more action than ever before.
Reaching more people with safe, sustainable water
This year, we supported 32,830 more people across India and Nepal with life-changing water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services. That brings our total impact since 2005 to 546,059 people across 789 communities.
Restoring Himalayan springs
Climate change is accelerating the loss of vital springs in the Himalayas – the “Third Pole” of our planet. In Uttarakhand, we rejuvenated 10 natural springs, securing water for 3,300 people and enhancing flows for an additional 11,000 downstream. In Nepal’s Kavrepalanchok region, we mapped over 480 water sources, launching urgent spring restoration to protect thousands of families.
Collective water stewardship in India
Through our Beyond the Boundary programme, we partnered with communities, businesses, and government agencies in industrial hubs such as Bengaluru and Chennai. Together, we’re piloting fair water allocation strategies that balance the needs of households, farms, and factories, proving that collective action is key to solving water scarcity.
Unlocking investment in sustainable infrastructure
Frank Water supported communities to secure £43,000 in local government funding for toilets, ponds, tree planting, and water recharge systems – nature-based solutions that last.
Educating the next generation
In partnership with Earth Cubs, we reached 153,000 children worldwide with free interactive water education resources. Here in the UK, our festival refill service reached 140,000 people, preventing the equivalent of nearly 50,000 plastic bottles from going to landfill and sparking conversations about climate change and water security.
The need for action has never been greater. In the coming year, we will:
