Frank Water’s Stand Up For Safe Water paddleboarding competition is sponsored by the UK’s best selling paddleboard manufacturer Aquaplanet
Hosted by the incredible team at SUP Bristol, Frank Water’s paddleboarding event, Stand Up For Safe Water, takes place on Bristol’s historic harbourside on Friday 30th June from 12 – 6pm 2023.
Stand Up for Safe Water is a brilliant opportunity to spend quality time with colleagues and friends, safely outdoors and network with other like-minded businesses and potential clients.
What’s the format of the event?
Teams of four people compete in a number of races, dependent on the number of teams that enter and how far the team gets in the competition, to reach the Grand Final and win the SUFSW trophy! Teams can end up competing in 2-5 races on the day, but no matter how many races you compete in, you’re guaranteed to test your bravery, enjoy a day out on the water and have a laugh!
Registration: £180 per team. (Individuals can pay for this themselves, however some teams are registered by the companies they work for as a team building experience)
Every team that enters will receive a free team training session with SUP Bristol in advance of the event. Teams must sign up for this session once they have registered and paid to compete.
Teams must also submit a team name and are strongly encouraged to have a team theme or fancy dress so that they are identifiable out on the water for the comperes. There will also be a best team fancy dress prize!
Fundraising: We ask every team to raise a further £199 or more in sponsorship. Over the last couple of years some teams have managed to raise over £1000 in sponsorship. After you register, we will send details of how to set up your JustGiving page and start raising money for Frank Water! This is obviously a really important part of the event, so the earlier you get started and the more creative you are with your fundraising the better!
Be sure to sign up to our mailing list here to be the first to hear about it next year.
2022 saw 24 teams taking part (that’s 96 brave paddlers), in a battle to bring home the golden paddle!
