OUR WATER SOURCE

FRANK Water (the company) is based in Bristol so it made sense to find a spring local to the area. The South West is known for its rural pastures and rolling hills so it wasn’t long before we discovered the Tarka Springs.Tarka

A SHORT HISTORY OF THE TARKA SPRINGS

The home of Tarka Springs is run by brother and sister team, Neil and Anna. The working dairy and beef farm diversified in the summer of 2001.  Having been drinking the spring water for years, Neil decided to investigate the possibility of producing bottled spring water from the artesian spring situated on the farm. He was informed that the water was of exceptional quality and being an artesian spring also meant that it would have minimum impact on the environment. The water naturally rises to the surface, without the use of boreholes or pumps.

Tarka Springs site is located in small valley alongside the famous Tarka Trail. Beneath the soil cover are rocks of the Upper Carboniferous period. These rocks are specifically of the lower Bude Formation and are comprised primarily of sandstones.

Tarka Springs employ 6 full time staff who all care very much about the business and more importantly producing the best quality spring water.

“We were extremely happy to become FRANK’s first dedicated suppliers and strongly support the work that Katie and her whole team carry out in India. It was great to see a video of the first project and we are very glad to be part of something just a bit different away from the normal agenda of our customers! We wish them success for their future projects!” - Anna Moseby, Managing Director Tarka Springs
